Group your work order types into categories, and let app users filter their work order list by category on the mobile app.
This add-on is useful if you have many work order types and want to group them by a broader business logic — for example, by payment type or by department. Once categories are set up, app users can filter their work order list by category.
Have in mind that this is an add-on feature. To enable it for your account, contact the Frontu team.

Once the categories are set up, go to Work Order Types in the web app.
Open an existing work order type, or create a new one.
In the work order type form, select the relevant option from the Category field.
Click Save.
Repeat this for each work order type you want to assign to a category. A work order type can only belong to one category. Category field is optional.
Filtering work orders by category in the mobile app
Once at least one category is assigned, app users will see a Category section in the work order filter, with one chip per category.
Open the work order list in the mobile app.
Tap the filter icon.
In the Category section, tap one or more category chips to filter by. Each chip shows the number of matching work orders, for example "Warranty (4)".
If you select more than one category, the list shows work orders matching any of the selected categories.
Have in mind that your selected categories stay applied when you reopen the filter, and won't reset if you rotate your screen. Tapping Clear resets the category selection along with the rest of your filters.
