Vendor access control add-on

Control when Frontu support can access your users and company data

The Vendor access control add-on lets your administrator decide when Frontu support can log in as one of your users. Frontu support sometimes needs this to see exactly what a user sees and solve an issue faster. With this add-on, that access only works when your administrator has approved it.

What the add-on does

  • Frontu support can log in as your users only after your administrator grants access.

  • Your administrator can revoke access or end an active support session at any time. The change takes effect immediately.

  • Every support session is recorded in a log on your account.

  • Every Frontu employee must verify their identity with a Frontu Google account and two-factor authentication before they can access your users.

How to grant access to Frontu support

  1. Log in to the Frontu web app as an administrator.

  2. Go to Vendor access next to the settings and data import.

3. Click Allow Frontu support to sign in as my users.

Access is granted for the whole account. You only need to do this once. It stays active until you revoke it.

How to revoke access or end a session

  1. Go to Vendor access.

  2. Click Stop Frontu support signing in as my users to stop all future support sessions.

3. To stop a session that is happening right now, click End session next to it.

Have in mind that the session ends on the support employee's next action in Frontu. They will not be able to continue working in your users' accounts.

How to see who accessed your account

The Vendor access page shows a log of all support sessions. For each session you can see:

  • The Frontu employee's email

  • Which of your users they logged in as

  • Started and last activity dates

  • The IP address they connected from

  • State

What changes for your support requests

If access is not granted, Frontu support cannot log in as your users. They may ask you to grant access to investigate an issue. You can grant access, let support solve the issue, and revoke it again afterwards.

Have in mind that when the add-on is turned on for an existing account, Frontu support keeps access by default. Revoke it on the Vendor access page if you want to approve each case yourself.

To try this add-on, contact your account manager or write to us in the chat.
