How to limit a work order's custom field visibility based on work order types
Updated over a week ago

We've made it easier for you to manage your work orders by implementing the logic to show different custom fields for different work order types. This feature is only valid in the application right now based on selected the work order types for each custom field.

Defining Work Order Types for Custom Fields

When you will select a work order type, the app user will see a custom field only for the work order with the selected work order type.

Properties tab for app user:

All custom fields are shown in the New 'properties' tab. If the user will change the work order type from the Info tab, custom fields will be updated automatically. You will always see only those custom fields that belong to the work order type.

When the custom field checkbox 'Required for app' is marked the app user will see the "Mandatory tab" label in the "Properties" tab, asking them to fill in the required custom fields. If the required custom fields are not filled, the user will not be able to complete the work order. The required custom fields will always be at the top of the list.
