The Speech-to-Text feature allows users to convert spoken language into written text in real time. By using advanced voice recognition technology, it captures audio input through a microphone and automatically transcribes the words into accurate, readable text.
This feature supports multiple languages making it accessible for diverse users. Usually Frontu app takes device language but you can easily change that by navigating to settings. Select any language from the list and the text will be written in that language.
You can use voice to text for remarks, materials and jobs descriptions in Frontu application. Click on Remarks tab and click "Add" button. You will see microphone icon in the Remark input field on the right side. Click on it. At first you will need to let Frontu record the audio. Select "While using this app".
When the permission is granted, you can start recording your voice by clciking on microphone icon. You will see the message that recording is started. Now say what you would write.
After you are done talking, just click red stop button or wait for 5 seconds and the transcription will start automatically.
After it is finished, the text will appear in the remark field. You can save it or you can add more information using your voice again. The newly voice transcript will appear next to the first one.
You can also use this feature when adding descriptions to jobs or materials. Microphone icon will be visible in the description field and forks the same way as for the remarks.
After description is added, click save the material/job.
Do not forget that if you go silent for 5 seconds, the transcription will start automatically and your voice becomes text.
