Accessing the Creation Menu

To initiate the creation of a new work order, locate the burger menu button located at the bottom left corner of the work order preview window. By clicking this button, a menu will appear, presenting various options for work order management.

Selecting the Work Order Option

Within the Create section of the menu, identify the "work order" option, which is marked with a plus sign. Clicking on this option will open a window where you can input the necessary details for the work order.

Filling in Required Information

In the Information field, ensure that you provide the mandatory details for the work order. This includes selecting the client and object associated with the work order. If a new client or object needs to be added, simply click on the plus sign at the bottom to include the relevant information.

Additionally, select the work order type from the provided list. The work order type defines the nature of the work order. You may also specify the payer, who is responsible for covering the costs associated with the work order. It's important to note that the work order title will be automatically filled based on the selected work order type, but you have the option to edit it if necessary. Furthermore, provide a work order description to provide additional context and instructions.

Selecting a Helper

If applicable, you can assign a helper to the work order. A helper can be another user with app user or helper roles, assisting in the completion of the work order. This field allows for better work order coordination and collaboration.

Additional Fields

Depending on the configuration set in the Web App environment (from version 5.1.0 onwards), you may encounter custom fields that are required or optional. These fields can be customized based on specific requirements and workflows.

Setting Time Details

In the Time section, you have the option to specify the planned start and end dates and times for the work order. However, if you do not provide these details, Frontu (from version 4.0 onwards) will automatically set the current date and time as the start, and the end time will be adjusted to one hour later.

Saving or Starting the Work Order

Once all the necessary information has been entered, you can choose to save the work order for future reference or start it immediately. This option allows for flexibility, enabling users to adapt to their specific workflow requirements.
