New Filter for Reopened Work Orders

A guide on how the new Reopened filter works, how to add it to a custom view, and how to set up a dedicated view that displays all work orders that have been reopened at least once.

Updated this week

Some work orders may be reopened after they were initially completed. The Reopened filter allows you to display only those work orders that have been reopened at least once or filter out all that have never been reopened. Beyond monitoring activity, this highlights operational bottlenecks and training gaps. It allows managers to use data to drive process improvements that minimize mistakes and rework.

To maintain a clean and efficient workflow, we recommend setting up a dedicated view that automatically displays only reopened work orders.

How to Create a View for Reopened Work Orders

1. Start from the Work Orders list

Navigate to Work orders from the left-side menu and click + Create View at the top.

2. Name your view

A pop-up window will appear. Enter Reopened as the title (or another name of your choice) and click Save.

Your new view will now appear as a tab at the top of the Work Orders page.

3. Enable the “Reopened” filter in View Settings

Open View Settings within your new view.
Under Filters, locate the Reopened option and enable it.
Click Save to apply the change.

4. Apply the filter to show reopened work orders

With the filter now available in the view, use the Reopened dropdown in the filter bar and select Yes.
To make this the default for the view, click Save View.

Your Reopened view will now always show only work orders that were reopened at least once.

5. Updating or Archiving the View (Optional)

If you need to adjust the filters, columns, or other settings, open View Settings again and use the Edit option.
The view can also be archived by selecting Archive, removing it from active tabs if it is no longer needed.
