Custom Cancel Reasons add-on asks you to pick a reason from a short list whenever you cancel a work order. This keeps your office in the loop, speeds up reporting, and helps your manager spot patterns in why jobs don't get completed.
Make sure Cancel Reasons add-on is enabled for your company. If it isn't, ask help from Frontu team using Support chat.
How to create a cancel reason
You can find cancel reasons tab next to the stop reasons, in the work orders menu. Click on the tab. Here you will be able to see all existing cancel reasons as well as filters by title and archive, creation and some additional buttons.
New button is avalaible for new cancel reason creation. Click on it and and the pop up with title field will appear. Enter the title and save the entry.
Newly created entry will appear in the list and can be used by the user immediately.
How to cancel a work order using custom cancel reasons for administrator
When administrator environment user is ready to cancel a work order, cancel selection will open dropdown list. There will not be an option to type, just select one reason from the dropdown list.
Selected reason will be visible under the status in work orders list as well as the action history in detailed view.
How to cancel a work order using custom cancel reasons for technician (app user)
Open the work order. Tap the task you need to cancel from your task list on the home screen.
Click three dots on the up right corner. Tap the dots and choose Cancel work order.
3. Pick a cancel reason. A list of reasons appears. Tap the one that best fits the situation β for example, Customer not home, Access denied, or Wrong parts.
4. Confirm. Tap Confirm button. The work order moves to Cancelled and your reason is recorded on the work order
Good to Know
The list of reasons is managed by your administrator. If you need a new reason, ask them to add it in the back office.
Your selection syncs to the office dashboard as soon as your device is online β no extra step needed.
Made a mistake? You can not undo cancel work order or to change cancel reason, so be careful.
Troubleshooting
No cancel option in the menu? Your role may not allow cancelling. Contact your administrator.
Empty reasons list? Your admin hasn't added any reasons yet β ask them to set at least one up. Also, the add-on may not be enabled.
Confirm button shows error? A reason is required. Tap one from the list, then try again.
