Change the default navigation app using Frontu

You can change navigation app directly from Frontu. There are two ways how to do that.

The 1st way is to do it directly from the work order:

  1. Open the work order that you are currently working with. Go to info tab and click on the object.

2. When the object card is open, click on "Address" or coordinates (latitude, longitude) field (green location icon).

3. Select the app you would like to use for navigation. You can choose from different apps that you have installed. Also select "Just once" or "Always". If always is selected you will not get this message anymore and Frontu will use the selected app each time you use navigation.

The 2nd way is to do from work orders list:

  1. Open work orders list and click three dots on the right side near the work order.

2. Select "Open navigation".

3. After selection, the screen with navigation apps will be open and you will be able to select one of them. Also select "Just once" or "Always". If always is selected you will not get this message anymore and Frontu will use the selected app each time you use navigation.

Change the default navigation app on your device

  1. Open Settings: Access Settings on your device.

  2. Go to Apps: Find and tap on "Apps" or "Applications."

  3. Select Default App: In the search bar find your default navigation app. In this case Google Maps.

  4. Change default settings: Go to the "Set default" settings menu and disable the "Open supported links" function.

  5. Select the app you want to use as default: In the search bar find your wanted navigation app. In this case Waze. and go to app settings menu and select "Set as default"

  6. Change default settings: Go to the "Set default" settings menu and enable the "Open supported links" function.

  7. Change supported web addresses settings: Go to the "Supported web addresses" settings menu and enable "maps.google.com" and "assitant-maps.google.com"

Now you are all set up and can navigate with your preferred navigation app straight from the Frontu app.
