From now on the screens you use most have a new design, the app opens faster, and you can search work orders by phone number.
Your work stays the same. The fields and buttons you know are still there.
After you update the application
You don't need to do anything special. After the update:
You stay logged in.
Your work orders, clients and objects are kept.
Work you haven't sent yet is kept and sent once you're online.
Have in mind that the first start after the update can take longer than usual. The app prepares your data and downloads everything from Frontu again. Open the app for the first time where you have a good internet connection, for example on Wi-Fi.
Work order list
Work orders are now grouped into In progress, Today ,Tomorrow and Others. Each group shows how many work orders it has.
Only few significant changes were made in the structure. Yu can see compared designs below.
Filters are now on the right up corner. You can select multiple filters and combine them together.
Also, you can now find a work order by phone number. Tap the search icon on the work order list and type the number of the client, the contact person or the object.
Search results also stay in place after the app syncs. Before, they reset.
Inside a work order
The work order screen itself looks the same. The buttons on its tabs now open new screens.
Jobs → Add opens the new job form.
Materials → Add opens the new material form.
If you go back from a form you haven't finished, the app asks whether to save it. What you've typed is also kept if your phone closes the app in the background.
Have in mind that if your company tracks time for this type of work order, you can't finish or sign a work order from the list while a job is missing its start or end time. Add the times first.
Clients and objects
Tap the i next to a client or object to open its card.
Client card: every filled-in row has a copy button, so you can copy a phone number or address in one tap.
Object card: shows the client, history, summary and address.
Edit forms: a star (*) now marks the required fields. On the object form, files are on the second tab.
Notifications
Tap the bell to see messages from your office. Notifications have a new design and have been rebuilt to work more reliably.
Different colors are used to inform you about different events.
How to start a trip?
Start trip button is now moved to the work order cardin the list. You will not need to search it anymore inside the other functions.
When the trip is started, you will see a message on the top of your work orders list. You can open the work order or stop the trip directly from this block.
When will I get the update?
We release the update in stages, starting 9 November. Not everyone gets it on the same day. If you don't see it yet, it will reach you soon.
To check for the update, open Google Play, search for Frontu and tap Update.
If something doesn't look right after the update, write to us in the support chat. Tell us which screen it happened on.
